After training as an illustrator and print maker my formative years were spent working freelance for television companies, publishers and ad agencies. During this time I created animated artwork for the Title Sequence of the much loved series 'Grange Hill' and also for the drama series 'Pennies From Heaven' by Dennis Potter, amongst many others.
Later I worked for many years around Camden and Soho in London as a creative director for film and television production companies winning many awards along the way. My work included branding and design for major TV companies and businesses such as the BBC, ITV, VH1, Disney, Uefa and CCTV Beijing.
In 2003 I returned to my creative roots to showcase the wide variety work I was producing as images for print. This included elaborate photomontages with digitally hand drawn imaging. Much of this wide ranging Outsider and Urban Art has social and political themes and also includes ironic references to celebrities and mainstream entertainment.
In 2011 I moved to Pokesdown, Bournemouth and found a vibrant artist's community in Boscombe. My recent work is three dimensional under the title 'Trigger Happy'. It's based on traditional Fairground art and is created to look like panels from Fairground rides, cut and riveted together then textured, distressed and hand finished. Each one being unique in this respect.
