Ribbons Of Bone is the most complicated bronze sculpture I have made. Heavily influenced by Art Nouveau this piece is inspired by a staggering disease called fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva which turns the body to bone. I wanted to create something beautiful from something so awful. Its intricate organic structures grow from the woman form lifting her from the ground.
