Edward Donald [Biography]

Edward is a self taught artist from the Isle of Man now living in central Manchester.
His career as an artist has been very unexpected, "I never knew I had an interest in painting until I tried it" After countless hours and many wasted canvases, Edward managed to hone his own out of the ordinary way of creating aged and weathered artworks. "I see beauty in the imperfect and love the way the elements over time age things and create organic textures and colours that you can't find anywhere else".

Edward's work is intertwined with the old and with the new, capturing the past and the present.
The aim is to create a sense of history, texture and depth with each layer.
